San Mateo Park is an exclusive neighborhood within the city of San Mateo. San Mateo Park is bounded on three sides by the similarly prestigious community of Hillsborough, with Burlingame lying beyond Barroilhet Avenue at its northern boundary and El Camino Real separating it from the rest of San Mateo to the northeast. This historical community was planned in the style of the late 19th century’s “City Beautiful” movement, with spacious homes along with wide, tree-lined traffic circles fit for horse-drawn carriages. This verdant urban oasis enjoys immediate highway access and is within walking distance of Burlingame Avenue businesses and the Burlingame Caltrain station.
San Mateo Park’s diverse real estate mix features many elegant properties built in the early decades of the 20th century, along with a smaller number of post-war and contemporary homes.
