Burlingame is a charming city with a small-town feel located between Millbrae and San Mateo on the San Francisco Bay shoreline. This lovely community has a peaceful suburban vibe, with a walkable downtown area and more than 18,000 trees. Burlingame’s 1894 Spanish Colonial Revival-style train station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is an active Caltrain stop, transporting residents to San Francisco Station in around 26 minutes. Four highways also pass through Burlingame, allowing for an easy commute to SF and other Silicon Valley communities.
Real estate within Burlingame is an enticing mix of old and new. There are many refurbished properties from the early-to-mid-20th century, along with modern single-family homes and condominiums. Its convenient highway and Caltrain access mean many residents also commute into San Francisco or other Silicon Valley locations. The Burlingame Bayside enjoys views of Downtown San Francisco and the San Francisco Airport.

The streets running southwest of Burlingame’s historic Caltrain station comprise the main downtown area, with hundreds of unique stores, coffee shops, and restaurants.

The Studio Shop has been a Burlingame institution since 1915, exhibiting and selling the works of a varied mix of up-and-coming and mid-career artists. Another shopping and dining area runs southwest of the Broadway Caltrain station. Highlights here include

Things to Do
Burlingame is a leafy community with many parks and green spaces.
Washington Park, on the former grounds of the Gunst estate, features children’s play areas, tree-shaded lawns, and two pillars remaining from the mansion house which once stood here. The
Burlingame Hillsborough History Museum inside the historic Burlingame Train Station displays artifacts that give a fascinating insight into the community’s rich heritage. The Bayside also contains trails, allowing pedestrians and bikers to gaze upon amazing views of the Bay.
